Rex Thomas papers, 1946-1968.

The Rex Thomas Papers consist of slides, photographs, negatives, field notebooks and photograph logs, primarily documenting Thomas's work for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Sport Fish Division. The nearly 2700 slides include images of sea mammals, birds, plants, moose, and salmon, as well as scenes of Kodiak, Prince Wiliam Sound, the Aleutian Islands, the Alaska Peninsula, the Pribilof Islands, King Island, the Seward Peninsula, the Kobuk and lower Yukon Rivers, Interior Alaska, and Southeast Alaska, Baffin Island and Newfoundland in Canada, and Seattle, Washington. Also found among the slides are images of family and friends and their activities in Interior Alaska and the Fairbanks region.
